After all the trouble in Indian market, OnePlus is back with its Flagship device OnePlus One.

Oneplus One is back in stock and with only price tag of Rs.20,000. As OnePlus is banned to sell their devices with preloaded Cyanogen, they are now not providing the device with Cyanogen but instead the device is loaded with OS based on Android 4.4.

Moto G network type (3G) problem ? Solved !!!

Unable to switch back to 3G from 2G on Moto G ?

Question Title:

Unable to switch back to 3G from 2G on Moto G

Below is the scenario:

After toggling the Preferred Network from 3G to 2G the Moto G doesn't let us change it back to 3G.
When toggled back to 3G, it stays on 2G and 'E' symbol is still shown on top of SIM.
I know it's annoying and a small bug indeed.No worry we have a solution.

Solution:

Method 1 (Works for some people) :
1.Open the Dialer and Dial *#*#4636#*#*
2.Tap On "Phone Information".

3.Scroll down you can see "set preferred network type"4.Change it to "WCDMA preferred".

5.Do not touch any other settings and come back to home screen.

Method 2 (Works everytime) :
1. Disable the secondary SIM :
    Settings > Dual SIM Settings > OFF the sim that you don't use for Data.
2. Change Network Type:
    Settings > More... > Mobile networks > now change "Preffered network type" to 3G (for the sim         that you use for data).
3. Enable the secondary SIM back:
    Settings > Dual SIM Settings > ON the sim that you don't use for Data.

Free invites to Inbox by Gmail, and How to access ‘Inbox by Gmail’ without an invite

But No Worry VRC is here for your Rescue.

Just find a friend that's using Inbox by Gmail and you can get access on your own device with their help—even if they don't have any invites to give out.

The process is simple:

First of all download Inbox on your phone through its app store, either Android or iOS.You won't be able to sign in with your account, since you don't have access, but download it anyway.

From now on-wards I'll refer Inboxer as the one that has access to Inbox app and Applicant as the one who needs an Inbox Invite.

Now starting with the TechnoMagica

Step 1: Add Applicant's Google Account to Inboxer's device.
Setting > Add Account > Select Google from the list

On iOS devices, log in through another Google app, like Gmail or Chrome.

             

Than click Existing and let the Applicant type in their username and password.

            

When you are on the verge to finish your account process, you'll get an option to configure the things you want to sync.It would be better if you won't sync applicant's account on the device, so in order to avoid this, just deselect all sync options for applicant's account.

           

Step 2: Open Inbox App and sign in with your Applicant's Account

Swipe Right to open the side navigation drawer and tap on the Inboxer's account name.This will expand a list of all other Google accounts associated with Inboxer's device, so tap on applicant's account.

           

After few seconds, the applicant will be logged in and Woila!!! The Applicant is now able to access Inbox on his device :)

Step 3: Removing applicant's google account from Inboxer's device

Under Accounts subsection of settings > tap the Google entry>Select applicant's email address.

On iOS, head back to the "Manage Accounts" screen in a Google app, tap "Edit", and delete your friend's account.

          

Tap the three-dot menu button at the top of the screen & select Remove Account...Confirm it and your work is done.:)

         


This trick will not work for any Inbox account activated using this method, so your friend will not be able to repeat this process for other people.

Now that you've invited your friends, send them a link to this article so that they can familiarize themselves with Inbox's core functions, or point them here for a list of handy keyboard shortcuts.

Micromax launches Yu Yureka competitor of OnePlus One with CyanogenMod support for just Rs. 8,999

Micromax's Yureka is indeed a flagship killer in budget. It's exclusively available on Amazon and the device goes on sale on January 8 but the company is following a flash sale, where consumers will have to register for the devices and then take part in sale.

 The Micromax's Yureka is loaded with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 64 bit octa-core processor, 5.5 inch HD (1280*720) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It has a 13MP rear camera, 5 MP front camera and 16 GB of internal storage ( 12.5GB usable) with 32GB expandable and preloaded Cyanogen OS 11. The Cyanogen is just a cherry on top.






As the device comes preloaded with Cyanogen it would mean that, like the OnePlus One, the Yureka can be rooted without voiding the warranty and just to make it sweeter, Micromax is offering doorstep service options for repair and replacement.






The launch of this device has severely affected the company OnePlus. As requested by local manufacturer Micromax, a New Delhi court banned OnePlus from selling its handset anywhere in the country. Snapdeal selling Chromecast in India

Chromecast, a product by Google which has undoubtedly has gathered the fame among the media consumers is on the verge to step in India. Sources are suggesting that the Chromecast is set to go on sale in India on December 9^th.

The official announcement will be made at the Google Online Shopping Festival. Though the leading e-commerce retailer Flipkart has pulled out of GOSF, the company is still gonna sell Chromecast by teaming up with local e-commerce partner Snapdeal. “A letter to our Indian users,” by OnePlus about the Cyanogen granting exclusive rights in India to another company.

This week, we announced that the OnePlus One will finally launch in India on December 2, 2014. This has been a long time coming both for our Indian fans, who have been incredibly patient, and everyone behind the scenes who have been working towards this moment since June.

OnePlus and all of our partners, including Cyanogen, have put countless hours of work into making this launch a success. Just last month, on October 7, Cyanogen released the 38R OTA update which included SAR values inside phone settings to comply with Indian regulations. Therefore, it was surprising and disappointing to hear from Cyanogen on November 26 that they had granted exclusive rights in India over the Cyanogen system to another company. Prior to this, OnePlus and Cyanogen have successfully cooperated to release the OnePlus One or carry out commercial operations in 17 countries and regions (including India). It is truly unfortunate that a commitment we both made to our Indian users will now not be upheld.

The One will continue to be supported globally and receive frequent OTAs. In fact, the next update will pack some surprises with which we think you’ll be very happy. Cyanogen has unequivocally committed to continuing this global support and we look forward to working with them for another year on continuously improving our device. But today, we address our Indian users who may feel disappointed or deceived.


We can’t explain Cyanogen’s decision because we don’t fully understand it ourselves. But we can explain exactly how we’ll continue offering our fans in India an amazing user experience and support for this device.

OnePlus One won't be supported by Cyanogen in India

Don't worry..Never Settle: just try another ROM ^ ^

After all the Success and Fame, there comes a day when something has to go wrong and that's what happening to the most popular Android phone manufacturing company of 2014, "OnePlus". It'll started when the company's busy taking care of its Black Friday promotion, its store opening in Beijing and its India launch with Amazon next week, a post titled “A letter to our Indian users,” by OnePlus came in. An announcement of their plans to ship the OnePlus One to India without Cyanogenmod. Yep you read em right.

Just this week, the company announced their plans to release the One in India. But unfortunately they were not unaware about the key feature to be missing in their OnePlus, the reason why people buy the one. It's hard to tell whether they were unaware or aware of it but the tone of the announcement just says so.

We can’t explain Cyanogen’s decision because we don’t fully understand it ourselves. 

Cyanogen Inc., the maker of OnePlus One's Android ROM, announced that it won't be supporting OnePlus but instead has a deal with Micromax to exclusively support the latter's upcoming online brand Yu -- a direct competitor of Xiaomi -- in India. The blog post by OnePlus also mentioned that Cyanogen knew about its India plan all along, as Cyanogen released the 38R OTA update back in October was especially important because it added SAR values inside the Settings menu to comply with Indian regulations, making it seem likely that CM was on its way to India yet it was suddenly shunned to make way for a new partner.

All this clearly concludes that OnePlus isn't at fault here, but can two great companies be so Dumb/Irresponsible/Blindsided ? Though OnePlus is trying there best to solve this inconvenience caused to users. OnePlus has promised to release their first community build by their own Android team to Indian users next month and have a production-ready build in February. Also this is not the first time the OnePlus One will be without CyanogenMod, as the OnePlus One is sold with Color OS (Color OS -- supplied by its OEM partner Oppo.) instead of CyanogenMod in China. System will be based on Android Lollipop and as they said it will be "fast and lightweight". This is not it, in order to put the software on the devices, the company is planning on setting up stations where they can meet users face-to-face to help with any issues. Online tutorials will also be available.


This maybe the end of Cyanogen on OnePlus One...but it surely has open a gate for some new stuff. Lets just wait and watch :)

Cyanogen is still gonna support OnePlus One in India

Indian OnePlus One users, there's nothing to worry about.

To clear up any misconceptions about the device and CyanogenMod's future in the region, the OS developer took to its blog. After all the heat up about the Cyanogen not supporting OnePlus in India for it's future updates, the comapany is stating that it is a false report and Cyanogen is still gonna continue to provide OTA updates to all Global devices (Including India).

We are proud of the work we did on the OnePlus One. Through our collaboration with OnePlus, we demonstrated the power of strong hardware and software tuned for exceptional performance. To clarify misinformation out there, the OnePlus One will get OTA firmware updates for all global devices, including global devices for our users in India. Rather than have misinformation continue to circulate out there, we felt it important to bring this matter to rest.

So was it a strategy to decrease the sales of OnePlus one in India, as they have a partnership with Micromax and the new YU brand ?
All the confusion occurred when Micromax announced an exclusive partnership with CyanogenMod for India through the company's YU line of smartphones.

Nevermind....it seems like it's a really good news for all OnePlus One owners/buyers out there.
It wasn't a big issue as you can directly flash a ROM instead but yea, having pre-installed Custom ROM is just cool to have for the people who are New to flash ROMs n stuff.

So that's settled.
Oh wait but the Motto says,"Never Settle".
